Our Commitment TO COMMUNITY SAFETY

Newark Unified School District is committed to fostering Safe, Secure and Healthy Learning Environments. To do this, we will continue to work together to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases by observing all the precautions, guidance, and requirements from health experts.

NUSD and its staff are committed to:

• Comply with all mask requirements and adhere to social distancing guidelines to the maximum extent possible in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and remain safe. 

• Provide in-person learning to all students, while offering a virtual option for families whose child is not yet able to attend in-person due to health or safety reasons.

• Create a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and learning environment for our students and families.
