If your child is currently attending a school in Newark Unified School District (NUSD), please log into your ParentVUE account and confirm your personal informing will remain the same or make any updates needed. All students currently enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade must complete the annual student information update process online on ParentVUE.
An Out of District Transfer is also known as an Inter-District transfer. This is needed when families wish to enroll their student(s) at a school that is outside of the District in which they reside OR when parents wish to enroll their students into a Newark Unified School District school but physically reside in an another District's boundaries.
How Do I Apply for an Out of District Transfer (Inter-District Transfer)?

To transfer your student from another district into Newark Unified School District, you must begin the process within the DISTRICT IN WHICH YOU RESIDE. Please contact your current school district for questions and procedures.
An Elementary School Transfer is also known as an Intra-District Transfer. Newark Unified School District assigns your neighborhood school (home school) based on your home address. If you would like to apply for another school within NUSD, you will need to fill out an Elementary School Transfer form. Requests for enrolled students to change schools WITHIN NUSD will be accepted at the District Office beginning February 8, 2022. An Elementary School Transfer request must be completed for each student you wish to transfer. Elementary School Transfer requests that can be accommodated, are approved on a first come first served basis. Elementary School Transfer requests are NOT accepted at the school sites.
