NUSD confirms:  Schilling will offer Dual Language and English Only instruction for Kinder and 1st Grade..

If you are enrolling a student in Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten, additional forms are required after you complete the online enrollment process. Please visit our TK/Kinder Requirements for more information, including the required Health Examination and Oral Health Assessment forms, residency verification requirements, and date range for admission to TK and K. 

 

New to Newark Unified (If this is the first time you are enrolling a student in Newark Unified School District:) WELCOME !

If you are enrolling a student for the first time in Newark Unified for Transitional Kindergarten through 12th Grade.  Please complete the following steps.

  1. Please click here to create a ParentVUE account and begin the enrollment process. 
  2. Once you submit the registration online, your home school office will contact you to complete the process.  For more information about the additional requirements that are required after you complete the online portion, click here

Currently Enrolled Newark Unified Parents/Guardians (If you already have a ParentVUE account)

If you already have a ParentVUE account, click here to access your account. If you cannot remember your password, click the “Forgot Password” link on the Online Registration login page.

New students can be added to your current account All students currently enrolled in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade  must complete the annual student information update process online.

Please contact your student’s home school office if you need any support with ParentVUE access, or if you are not seeing all of your currently enrolled students when you log into your account.

Returning to Newark Unified (returning to Newark after moving out of the area and have never done online registration)

If you are registering a student after being out of district for more than TWO years, contact Student Services at  510-818-4202 for assistance with an access code if you do not have one.

Transfers

If you want more information about how a student can enroll at a school other than his or her home school, please visit our  Transfers page.

2021-2022 Intra-District Open Enrollment (click here for form)

Requests for registered students to change schools WITHIN Newark Unified will be accepted at the District Office beginning January 4, 2021. An Intra-District Open Enrollment request must be completed for each student. Open Enrollment requests, that can be accommodated, are approved on a first come first served basis. Open Enrollment requests are NOT accepted at the school sites. 

Please submit your request via email to [email protected] or by dropping them off by appointment only by contacting Nicole Lemas at 510-818-4202. 

These requests will start being reviewed in June to allow time for families within the school area to register.
