It is the mission of the Newark Unified School District Child Care Program to provide a safe, nurturing environment that supports the efforts of families and schools to help children become lifelong learners who possess the cognitive social emotional skills, ethics, and creativity to reach their full potential as contributing, productive, responsible citizens.

NUSD CHILD CARE IS NOW ACCEPTING ENROLLMENT APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2023-2024 NUSD CHILD CARE PROGRAMS!
2023-2024 CHILD CARE REGISTRATION FORMS:
For TK-6th grade Before-School Child Care 7:00am – until the start of school, a fee based program that charges $185.00 per month, please use:
For TK Child Care after school 12:10 - 3:00 p.m., please use:
For Kinder Child Care Early Release first three weeks after school 12:10 - 3:00 p.m., please use:
NUSD Child Care is aligned with the school calendar and closed during all school closure days.
Enrollment in your NUSD home school must be verified by our office staff before we confirm your enrollment into our program(s).
Completed applications can be submitted to omelero@newarkunified.org or mverdile@newarkunified.org or jsoares@newarkunified.org or brought directly to the Child Care Office, 5735 Musick Avenue, Room 21. Our Office is located on the Musick Elementary School campus, Rm. 21 (in the large parking lot).
