Purchasing (for Contractors)


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 7, 2019, or as soon thereafter as practicable, at a regularly scheduled public meeting of the Newark Unified School District (“NUSD”) Board of Education (the “Board”), which will be held at NUSD District Office (5715 Musick Ave / Newark, CA 94560), the Board will consider entering into an energy service contract with FOREFRONT POWER, LLC or its designated affiliate, for the installation of certain energy savings measures on property owned or controlled by NUSD.

At said meeting, the Board will hold a public hearing on and consider a resolution to adopt findings required by California Government Code section 4217.12 regarding anticipated energy cost savings and other benefits NUSD may receive if the Board decides to enter into the energy service contract.

The resolution, agreement and supporting documents will be included with the Board’s regular public meeting agenda for the November 7, 2019 meeting.

NUSD opted-in to CUPCCAA (California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act) per Board Resolution # 1664, approved on July 5, 2005.

Pursuant to CUPCCAA (PCC 22000 et seq.), NUSD is inviting all licensed contractors to submit information for inclusion on the District’s mailing list for the 2019 calendar year. This follows the provisions of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act.
